KATRINA
U.S. President George W. Bush, stung by criticism over the government's slow response to Hurricane Katrina, on Monday takes his most extensive tour of waterlogged New Orleans, ruined by the storm two weeks ago.
During his third visit to the Gulf Coast since the storm hit, the president will survey the damage to the city by air and in military vehicles on the ground before making two stops in Gulfport, Mississippi, which was also pummeled when Katrina hit on Aug. 29.
